What a glorious day it was in Victoria, BC- the perfect conditions for a marine wildlife tour!

The tour started off in the direction of Race Rocks Lighthouse Reserve. Here we were met with some very chatty California Sea Lions!

We also got to see a variety of marine birds and some Harbour Seals. This one here has been captured in the “banana position” which they like to go into when the cold water is starting to encroach on the dry, warm safety of their rock!

It was a great experience to be able to watch two Humpback Whales feeding just off Albert Head in the wonderful sunshine and blue skies.

We were also lucky enough to get a close view of the animals dorsal fin and the hump on its back which, is partially where these angelic creatures get their names.

We’re looking forward to more sunny and blue skies. Here’s to the next trip!
