JULY 23 2017 – We had members of our southern resident orcas coming in this morning. Individuals from both J and L-pod was seen. In the morning we had all three of our zodiacs out and we got to see the orcas traveling east past Victoria. We spent a long time following L90 “Ballena” and L92 “Crewser” from L-pod orcas. Crewser is a favorite by the crew and his tall curvy dorsal fin is easy to recognize! Humpback whales was seen the whole day. In the afternoon we went east to meet up with the orcas again. Now J-pod was with us and we got to see them heading south along the coast of San Juan Island.
