May 6 2019- Playful Southern Resident Killer Whales were found near Salmon Bank.

J26 Mike Breaching

We always love a beautiful day on the water, especially when we see whales. We heard J-pod was headed down Rosario Strait in the morning. We then met up with them over Salmon Bank as they were foraging out in the strait. It was good to see them searching for food and we hope they are finding salmon.  J26, “Mike”, was very playful and Captain Yves was able to capture Mike’s impressive breach on camera. The whales were tail slapping as well, making it an amazing show for everyone!
