JUNE 16 2017 – WHAT A DAY! We had L-pod Orcas inbound from the west in the morning and could see them on all of our tours today. In the afternoon they had passed by Race Rocks nature reserve and continued towards the east into the Salish Sea. L-pod belongs to the Southern Resident Killer Whale population and it is only 78 individuals left, L-pod is made up of 35 of these individuals and the largest of the three clans of fish eating Orcas we have around Victoria, Vancouver Island.
