JULY 8 2017 – We had our big boat Marauder IV out on a morning tour and we encountered ORCAS not far from Victoria, in the Strait of Juan de Fuca. It was what we call a T-party, when several family groups of Bigg’s transient orcas comes together for some socializing. The families that we saw were the T49A’s, T34’s, T37 and T37B’s. A total of at least 9 individuals! We also saw humpback whales today.
