JUNE 23, 2015 – This afternoon’s trip was one for the books!  Marauder IV and zodiac FasTide headed east and picked up transient killer whales immediately!  The family included a male with a massive dorsal fin  – easily six and a half feet tall – and a little calf!  There was lots of tail slapping and then breaching.  After spending an hour with the orcas, Captain Bill decided to head south to see humpbacks and boy, was that a good decision!  We came on scene with two humpbacks who breached easily 20 times!  Our Naturalists Christine and Izzy agreed that it was one of the best trips of the season so far.
