Today, our morning tour was very fortunate to have sightings of Southern Resident Killer Whales in our waters! This is the first time this season that we have seen the Southern Resident Killer Whales in Victoria, and we were very thankful to have the experience. Unlike Transient Killer Whales, Resident Killer Whales feed on a diet of mainly fish instead of other animals such as birds and seals.
In the afternoon, we traveled to Eastern Bank to see some Transient Killer Whales, specifically the T37Bs!
The killer whales are incredible animals and we feel very lucky to have experienced both the Transient and Resident species all in one day!
