Today we encountered Zephyr and her calf again, proving just how perfect these waters are for humpback whales. The calf showed a lot of activity as it breached over and over, strengthening the muscles it will need as it grows, and no doubt having lots of fun! After we left mom and her baby, we quickly encountered another humpback who turned out to be BCY1080 Taurus. We also had not seen him since last fall, so it’s great to know he has returned to the area alongside so many other humpbacks!
