MAY 30 2018 – Today was a fantastic day, both whether and marine mammal wise! In the morning, we were excited by a lovely encounter with a group of three Transient Killer Whales just South of Discovery Island. At one point we were sitting with the engines off and the three whales surfaced beside the boat – what a great sight! In the afternoon, we headed South into Juan de Fuca Strait and caught up with the same Killer Whales we saw in the morning. After spending time with them we headed to Race Rocks – an Ecological Reserve with abundant wildlife. What a fantastic day!
