AUGUST 12, 2015 – The afternoon was warm and the water calm as the Marauder IV and our zodiacs headed out of Victoria Harbour with reports of Killer Whales and Humpback Whales just off the Victoria waterfront. The Marauder headed out to Constance Bank to get a look at a Humpback that was feeding there. After several good looks at this huge animal we headed east to catch up with one of our resident Killer Whale pods. We met them just off Discovery Island and they were in a playful mood with plenty of breaching, spy-hopping and tail-lobbing. We also had a good look at one of the new calves traveling with its mom and a large male. On the way back to Victoria Harbour we stopped to view several Harbour Seals resting on the Chain Islets. Overall another fantastic day on the water!!
