SEPTEMBER 17 2017 – Orcas and humpback whales today! The orcas we saw today were the T46B’s with T99B (no sighting of other T99’s!). In the morning they passed by outside of Victoria heading east. The T46B’s have a taste for hunting common murres (seabird) on the water. We had three young whales hunting the birds for well over an hour! Many attacks and spy-hops all around us. At one point they swam right under us and one of them had a bird in its mouth! In the afternoon the same whales were seen further east and also now we got to see some attacks on seabirds! Fun in the rain!
