We headed out on our zodiac trip, excited for adventure and keen to see some wildlife! Well we certainly were not disappointed when we came across a mum & calf Humpback whale southeast of Race Rocks. The calf was curiously playful while its watchful mother kept tabs. A beautiful moment came when the little one surfaced just as mum flicked her tail for a deep dive.
Baby soon followed suit and fully extended its tail out of the water. After spending time with this Humpback whale pair we stopped by Race Rocks Ecological Reserve. Here we were treated to Harbour Seals, Sea lions and the famous “Harry” the Sea otter. To top it all off on the way back to Victoria we came across Killer whales! A jam packed tour with an abundance of wildlife.
