SEPTEMBER 9 2017 – It was a rainy day today, lucky the whales don’t mind what weather it is above surface. We got lucky to see transient orcas and humpback whales during the day. The morning started with the two families of transient orcas T65A’s and T99’s. They took down a big whale yesterday so we were surprised to see them hunting again, although many young whales in these two families that requires a lot of food. In the afternoon we found a mother and a calf humpback whale. The calf showed us its white flippers and came really close to the boat. All tours also got to see sea lions.
