APRIL 22 2017 – We traveled to Race Rocks Nature Reserve today and saw a small group of killer whales! It turned out to be a special duo of transient killer whales. It is always a special feeling when you are meeting up with whales that you can recognize and who is more recognizable than T63 a.k.a “Chainsaw” (see picture!). This old male travels with his mother T65 and this pair haven’t been seen for a long time in the region, so really fun too see them again. They are two very old whales and it is good to see them still going strong. At Race Rocks we also could see sea lions, harbor seals and bald eagles!
