J Pod Taken by Captain Ian Dec 22

DEC 22 2015 – After a couple of bad weather days, Captain Ian headed out today and found J Pod, one of our Southern Resident Killer Whale Pods, just south of Victoria heading east.  It was a very warm welcome on a chilly but calm and dry day!

Ian first headed east in search of other critters.  He stopped in at the Chain Islands and Discovery Island where he found an abundance of cute Harbour Seals and many Marine Birds.  From there he headed south west towards Race Rocks.  But before he got to Race Rocks he bumped into J Pod heading east.  Our guests were over joyed to spend some quality time with these endangered critters.  It was a great Christmas gift for our Captain and guests!
