AUGUST 5, 2015 – This morning our boats met up with J Pod on the west side of San Juan Island! Our guests got to enjoy watching this group of Orca exhibit hunting behaviour which involves a lot of high tailing, swirling, tracking and pursuing of prey.  Then towards the end of the trip “Doublestuff”, one of the largest males in J Pod, had a giant breach! Quite a finale!

In the afternoon our boats went back to San Juan. This time we had quite a show from Blackberry, another J Pod male. He stayed right by our side for twenty minutes! On the way back we stopped at Trial Island to look at harbour seals and a bald eagle!
