The bumpy head of a Humpback Whale!
The bumpy head of a Humpback Whale!

APRIL 19, 2016 –  Today was a spectacular day to be out on the water! The sun was shining and the sea was perfectly calm. Captain Mark started the morning off with a three hour adventure on StrongTide, one of our High-speed Zodiac boats. Not only did his passengers get to experience the beauty of the Salish Sea and the stunning weather conditions, but they also encountered cute Harbour Seals, some majestic Bald Eagles and lots of other marine birds. They didn’t see any Whales on this trip but nobody seemed to mind as it was such a beautiful, fun-filled day.

In the afternoon, Captains Greg, Mark and Kenton headed West with more excited passengers on our High-speed Zodiacs. They were incredibly lucky to find not one, but two, Humpback Whales at Cattle Point. After spending a decent amount of time with these beauties and getting lots of great photos, they headed towards the Chain Islands and found some more cute little Pacific Harbour Seals hanging around on the rocks before returning to the harbour.

What a wonderful day!
