JULY 16, 2015 – It’s a humpback day!  Today we went west under gorgeous sunny skies and calm seas.  It was really interesting to see the humpback popping up on one side of the boat, then the other!  Lots of fabulous dives showing off its huge flukes.  Then we heard of another humpback sighting not too far away, and off we went.  This whale was really different to watch, staying on the surface for long periods of time before a dive.  To make a fantastic finale to the tour, we visited the Race Rocks Ecological Reserve (check out their live cams here http://www.racerocks.ca/wp/video-cameras/ .  We watched a huge number of seals, many with their young puts.  A Stellar Sea Lion swam by us and hauled out onto the rocks.  Race Rocks, with the Olympic Mountain range in the background was a gorgeous sight!
