Tail Fluke of a Humpback
Tail Fluke of a Humpback

MARCH 29 2016 – Today Captain Ian headed East and found two large Humpback Whales.  The sun was shining, it was flat calm and all of our guests were ready to go!

Our first stop was at Trial Island where we saw a juvenile Bald Eagle and a mature pair of Bald Eagles.  We also stopped in at the Chain Islands where we spent time with some cute little Harbour Seals and lots of Marine Birds!  We continued east and saw more Eagles and even some Steller Sea Lions.  But the highlight of the day was the two Humpback Whales that Captain Ian found in Haro Strait.  These awesome critters were feeding along the tide lines and even showed us their massive tail flukes once or twice.  It was another awesome day on the Salish Sea.
