NOVEMBER 22 2017 – Some excited passengers joined us on our Marine Wildlife Tour today. At Race Rocks the sea lions were extra playful and swam around the boat and even under us, we saw their eyes looking up at us! Young sea lions can be very curious and playful. We searched for a long time after whales, dolphins and porpoises. We soon came across a large pod of harbour porpoises out past Sooke harbour. After that we pushed further out into deeper waters. We had almost given up when we saw a spout and a back in the distance. Closer to it, we could see it was a humpback whale! Success and our long search paid of. Winter wildlife at its best!
