Departing the scene after an amazing trip!

Today our guests met up with J-Pod, in both the morning and afternoon, not far from Constance Bank. For the most part the group was hunting and it seems they were quite successful with a number of quick dives and proposing among the group. Captain Bill noted that the highlight of his trip was seeing Onyx (L-87) power past the boat with his huge dorsal fin standing at least 6 feet tall. He said, “I love watching them hunt. It is amazing how fast they can travel and change direction in the water.”

J-Pod wasn’t the only highlight of our day as we also spent some time with a Humpback and Minke Whale. Although we only stopped in briefly with both animals, they made for good viewing, sticking close to the surface and taking only short dives.
