What an exciting tour!

Travelling North from Victoria Harbour the group headed towards the Chain islands.

Here we got to see Harbour Seals hauled out on the rocks and also a Steller Sea Lion in the water. A very hungry Sea Lion grabbing a bite to eat!

We had heard reports of a Grey whale that had been feeding in the local area near Gordon Head. This was a must see.

These amazing creatures have the longest migration of any mammal. They pass through our waters at this time of year to make their way up to their feeding grounds which are North of Alaska.

These animals don’t have a pronounced dorsal fin but one main lump and then 6-12 knuckles behind it.

We were also treated to a pair of adult Bald Eagles. One of them was perhaps a little wind blown and having a bad hair day?
