Aug 4 2018 – The morning started a little foggy but it gave the trip a mystical feel. Our guests were excited to get going. We were lucky enough to see many Humpback Whales feeding around our boats. One of our Zodiac Vessels, StrongTide had a close encounter with a very curious Humpback that chose to approach the boat and do some people watching! Although we were lucky to have a close encounter this time please be aware that our engines were turned off when the animal approached us. The Pacific Whale Watching Association guidelines are very strict and at SpringTide we not only helped implement them but we encourage others on the water to practice them as we do.
