NOV 15 2014 – Another clear, calm, beautiful day with Captain Ian at the Helm. Our Zodiac tour today headed South in search for the ever popular Humpback Whales. Ian, our expert Captain, found 2 Humpback Whales just South East of Race Rocks not long after leaving Victoria’s Inner Harbour. They had some beautiful close passes of these huge animals and spent quite a bit of time watching them play at the surface. Before long it was time to leave and search for more wildlife. They headed west towards Race Rocks lighthouse where the water was alive with Marine Birds. Ian said there was over 1000 different marine birds paddling on the surface, he had never seen so many in one area. As they moved in closer to the rocks they spotted at least 400 Sea Lions, both Steller and California. It was a fun filled day filled with lots of critters and a very knowledgeable Captain. What an adventure!!!
