AUGUST 14 2017 – Bigg’s transient orcas and humpback whales on today’s tours! Our evening tour was lucky to see 20+ humpback whales! We hope that they are still out there tomorrow morning. During the day we saw two families of transient orcas. In the morning we encountered the T37A’s traveling west. They had just made a kill and stayed for 10-15 minutes in one area. The younger calves were so cute to see. In the afternoon we headed far west, passed Sooke. There we got to see the T37A’s and T55’s traveling together. The big male T55A was so impressive to see!
