OCTOBER 6 2018 – We got on scene with 4 Bigg’s transient killer whales just on the west side of Stuart Island as the whales were traveling north close to shore. The were split up into two groups of two. First we were passed by the two youngsters T65A3 and T65A4. They quickly continued north. Behind them the two big boys T49A1 and T65A2 made their way north two, playing with each other as they went on. At Turn Point Light they all came together again and headed north into the strait. That’s where we left them after a very nice afternoon out whale watching.
