JUNE 2 2017 – An amazing afternoon with calm waters and we could meet up with Bigg’s killer whale T103 outside of East Sooke. This old male usually travels by himself and he is at least 49 years old! It is unusual to see killer whales by themselves because they are highly social and live in tight family groups. T103 most likely travels alone because of his high age and his mother has most likely passed away. Otherwise he would travel by his mothers side his whole life! Fascinating! Take the chance and follow us out on the water and learn more about T103 and the other killer whales we have in our waters.
