AUGUST  21 2017 – Big group of transient orcas and humpback whales! What a day we just had, the sea conditions were great and we also got to witness the solar eclipse in the morning. We had a large group of transient orcas in the morning, they were very active with breaching and socializing. The families we saw were T18’s, T11’s, T65A’s, T46B’s and T46B1’s! A total of at least 17 individuals, a real T-party! In the afternoon the families had split up and we first encountered two humpback whales before we found the T65A’s again. An amazing encounter once again with very social whales and calm sea.
