July 11, 2015- This morning our Zodiacs and Marauder travelled East and North to Kellet Bluff, where they picked up members of J-pod. Our naturalists identified Onyx and one of the calves came very close to Marauder. On the way back they stopped at Trial Island to look at some adorable harbour seals lazily stretched out on the rocks.
In the afternoon our boats switched it up and travelled south where they came across three humpbacks, one of which was a baby! The water was glassy calm-perfect for whale watching! The three whales surfaced and dove together; one passenger said they were just like synchronized swimmers! They showed off their flukes a lot today, so lots of our passengers got fantastic pictures!
