APRIL 20 2016 – What a day! The sun was shining with not a cloud in the sky and we encountered more than 4 groups of Killer Whales in different areas all surrounding beautiful Victoria, BC!

Our first Zodiac of the day, StrongTide, departed 10 am with our captain Mark where they caught up with Killer Whales, Porpoises, and Sea Lions. The first group of whales consisted of a large male and 3 females that were actively popping out of the water to say hello, offering tons of great views and photo opportunities. We then zipped across to another group of 8 transient Killer Whales that were headed south. The sky was perfectly blue and Mt Baker was clear in sight offering a lovely back drop for the trip. Not a bad start to the day if I do say so myself!

Our 2pm zodiac departed with Captain Ian and they had an unreal 3 hours with transient Killer Whales that gave our passengers on board a show of a lifetime! The killer whales were on the hunt and put on quite a display as they slapped their tales and breached, some even synchronized all leaping out of the ocean together!  Everyone came back with huge smiles on their face and many stories to tell their family and friends back home. What a great success!!
