An Orca spyhopping!
A Killer Whale spy hopping!

APRIL 12, 2016 – Captain Kenton took a group of excited guests out to sea in the hopes of finding whales. Luckily enough, they came across some unusually playful Transient Killer Whales! They were spy hopping, tail flopping and even showing off their bellies to all our guests! This type of behavior is pretty rare from Transient Killer Whales so everyone on-board was very happy, not to mention incredibly lucky!

We spent close to an hour with these wonderful creatures before heading back to Victoria, seeing a Dall’s Porpoise and a cute little river otter along the way.

It was a great day to be on the water!
