Mount Baker
Mount Baker

APRIL 8 2016 – Today was an exceptional day out on the water! Skies were crystal clear, and passengers with Captain Ian  enjoyed spectacular views of Mount Baker. Our vessels cruised out of the Inner Harbour and between the San Juan Islands and Gulf Islands, ending up at East Point on Saturna Island.

Here, they caught up with the same group of Transient Killer Whales that we have been seeing for the past few days. This group includes two impressively large males – T123 and T49A. The raw power of these fabulous animals is a wonder to behold! We spend nearly an hour with this group of Orcas, then headed back to East Point, where we saw a bunch of Steller Sea Lions lounging on the rocks. On our way home, we also got to see a majestic Bald Eagle.

What an afternoon!!
