Apr 22, 2019 – A hundred Harbour Porpoises! That’s one of the sightings made by Captain Marty and our guests on our tour today near Gooch Island. Did you know that Harbour Porpoises usually travel in groups of up to 5 members, called “shoals”? It’s a rare sight to see so many! Harbour Porpoises can travel at speeds of up to 25km per hour, making them quite the speedsters!
Seals and Sea Lions were spotted also, along with our resident Sea Otter. Our guests got quite the tour around Victoria, visiting areas including Discovery Island, Lime Kiln, Spieden Island, Race Rocks, Whirl Bay and Beechey Head! After an incredible tour with wildlife sightings and sightseeing around the beautiful Victoria coast, our guests arrived back at Victoria Harbour ready for a fun night in downtown.
