Harbour Seals
Harbour Seals

JAN 31 2016 – What an adventure! It was pretty gloomy this morning, but as the day went on, the sun poked its head out more and more and as we were leaving out on the zodiac, it was a gorgeous day! With excited and adventurous passengers on board, Captain Ian on StrongTide zoomed off toward the Southern Gulf Islands in search of wildlife. Sure enough, they found plenty! Seals and sea lions were found in large numbers along the rocky coasts of the islands. Timid harbour seals slinked into the water when the zodiac approached them near Discovery Island, but the bold and noisy sea lions just roared louder. Ian headed up towards East Point and then zoomed along the coast of San Juan Island on his way back. Majestic Bald Eagles were seen soaring way up while they were along the coast of the island. What a sight!
