AUGUST 2, 2015 –  This afternoon started off great as we headed east to find our southern resident Orcas, but were surprised along the way with two Humpback whales!

The two baleen whales were feeding in the middle of Haro Strait, and gave guests a great chance to see their massive tails as they did some fluke dives. After a short while we moved on towards San Juan, where we spent the remainder of our trip watching the Orcas.. K pod, including adult male Lobo (k26) and some females.

On our way back to the dock we stopped at Trial Island where we spotted a bald eagle and a group of harbour seals on the rocks.  Perfect whale watching!
